Once upon a time, I’d have been directly underneath the “bombs bursting in air” but after being a bit too near to a dud setting a whole field of unfired mortars alight (leading to a mass salvo to get rid of them as quickly as possible – quite the display!!) I’ve taken to watching from a more respectful distance. One of my favorite places in the summer.
